12:16 pm - Hey Mom Bloggers!

Hi Mom Bloggers, I am helping Alexis Martin Neely launch her new book, "Wear Clean Underwear: A Fast, Fun, Friendly - and Essential - Guide to Legal Planning for Busy Parents. With her savvy book Wear Clean Underwear, Alexis helps parents understand how important – and easy – legal planning is for parents. You can find out more info on the book at www.wearcleanunderwearbook.com.

So why am I writing you?

For each mom blogger who reviews the book on or before May 7, we will offer a comprehensive Kids Protection Plan counseled and prepared by a celebrity lawyer, Alexis Martin Neely. This is a great value, as an attorney prepared Kids Protection Plan is normally $1,000. And, because Alexis Martin Neely is no longer seeing new clients, this offer is truly priceless.

Let me know if you can review the book by May 7th. We would love your participation. Please contact me at alicia@wealthygirlsummit.com if you are interested.

9:45 pm - maybe..........
on_a_hill maybe we may not all agree on the "issues" but I hope we can all agree that MDC is out of contol with the censorship and blatant abuse by moderation teams.

see that post from July? Nothing got done. Peggy doesn't care, Cynthia doesn't care, and now the new admin don't care. Cynthia was ABUSIVE to members and was promoted.

lets organize.

7:41 am - Day 5
mdcstuff Day 5 of Mod Watch and we have an answer from on high. Cynthia Mosher, head of MDC, says this:

I have no reason to remove her and no plan to do so. If you can point me to some matter here at MDC that has demonstrated her to be partial or biased in any way I will be glad to look at that.

Weeks ago JesiLynne started asking people at MDC to "be her friend" at Myspace. Many MDC Mamas did so in good faith, only to end up being the recipient of her racist joke.

A racist joke that said "I GUESS I'M A RACIST" in the subject line.

An MDC moderator publicly declared herself a racist and now Cynthia can see no reason to remove her as a moderator.

The MDC server will go down today for an "upgrade".  Who knows how long that downtime will last.

Cynthia thinks we're going to forget. Are you going to forget? Are you going to let this stand?

Is it okay with you that a national magazine and international messageboard has a racist on its staff?

Is it okay with you that that person has the ability to censor and ban MDC users?

Enjoy your weekend, but spend some time planning, writing, thinking.

We have a responsibility to fight racism in all the communities we belong to.

Are you ready to fight?

6:36 pm - ack

we just got the highest electricty bill we have ever had (weve lived here 7 1/2 years) ..great timing (for those who dont know.. i just lost my job)

our bills have never been THAT bad.. but this is a considerable jump..

so now were going into use less electricty mode.. we have been so careless lately
hell.. michael sleeps with the freaking TV on. that shit wont be happening now.
I read a tip that says plug all your entertainment stuff (TV, stero, VCR, DVD, sattelite reciever) into a power strip & switch that off when going to bed .. since even when you cut them off on thier own they use electrity

& turning the heat down.. homeboy like's it toasty.. so much so that I wake up sweating sometimes.. he's gonna have to learn to sleep in some PJ's or something

& I told him to put up a clothesline like i asked.. um 5 years ago. its allready getting warm here most days.. it wont take long to dry clothes

& Im buying bulbs with less watts (i have a habit of buying 100 watt..lol.. i like it bright)

& I set my puter up to do hybernate mode after 15 mins of inactivity

when we get our tax refund I plan to pay $1000 to our electric bill.. I did it last year in febuary & it was october before we paid another bill & that was only 1/2 of one. but at this rate $1000 would not go near as far.
I might need to put $1200 anyways

but I still need some energy conserving tips

12:49 pm - Trust Birth LJ Community

I just opened a new community for anyone to join. Its a trust birth community and I hope that by spreading the word about trust birth, more and more women will grow unafraid of birth, and remember that they already trust it. I appologize if this seems spammy, but its for a good cause. Come on over if you trust birth! (and even if you dont think you do...yet) ;)

Hey everyone. :)
I'm Jenn (Willowsmom on MDC)...26 year old mom to 18 month old Willow. We're a fairly crunchy family...I could always list the "We Do" list...but I think everyone knows it by heart now. :)

Thanks for making an MDC group on LiveJournal...I'm on the one on Xanga too, but I like chit chatting more. :)

Talk to ya'll later,

My monkeys are homeschooled and the youngest is bfing and hopefully I'll be tandem nursing...although if he doesn't quit biting me I may lose my mind! Kendra is 12, she lives in Oregon with her dad (didn't want to make the move to California when I had to move :( ), Alexis will be 10 on the 14th of January, Aspen is 6, and Kaiden is 18 months. I'm due May 8th with a boy whom we are naming Max.

10:04 pm - Hi

Hi, I'm Monica or shyly at MDC. I was wondering if there was going to be a livejournal community since there's a blog ring over at xanga. I'm expecting my first baby next month (!) and I'm hoping for a successful home waterbirth. I can't believe my DH is being so supportive of homebirth, but he's really been there for me since the beginning. DH is in the Army and we're stationed in NC. We're both native Floridians and miss home so so much. Living in the army world is certainly different. It's been a learning experience for me and I don't really get the whole "officer wife" mentality and it's a struggle to find friends here who are like-minded.

I can't wait to have my little baby. I can't believe it will be so soon. I'm planning on child led weaning, but that's just a plan right now. I'm hell bent on BFing for at least 18 months though. I'm also going to CD and I've been practicing slinging my cat in preparation for the baby. I really need to take a couple pictures of that and post in my journal because it's pretty funny looking. The cat is really happy though so I just keep trying out different positions...I never said I wasn't wierd.

Anyways, that's all I can think of now.
